    Accident: 201700093 - Injured When Run Over By Golf Cart Trailer

    At approximately 9:00 a.m. on June 13, 1997, Employee #1 was a passenger in a golf-type cart. The cart struck a rock on the road, and he was ejected and then run over by the towed trailer. Employee #1 sustained a broken leg and a dislocated ankle.

    Accident: 200670537 - Drowns In Pond At Golf Course

    Employee #1 was driving a utility vehicle on a golf course. The vehicle was found submerged in a pond, and Employee #1 had drowned.

    Accident: 170872303 - Leg Fractured When Pinned Against Truck

    At 11:00 a.m. on November 21, 1996, Employee #1 was purchasing food from a catering truck. The truck was parked between the productions and engineering trailers, south of the short cut to the north facility. Nearby, a coworker was driving a club golf cart, ID #4, when the accelerator became stuck. The operator tried unsuccessfully to stop the vehicle by applying the brakes. The cart went forward and pinned Employee #1 against the catering truck. She sustained a fractured left leg.

    Accident: 170868830 - Injured When Electric Cart Runs Into Hydrant

    Employee #1, a groundskeeper, was picking up trash at the south lawn near Building 300. When she sat back on her electric cart, it would not start. She repositioned herself on the seat, and the cart propelled forward and ran into the fire hydrant. Her left leg struck against the fire hydrant, and she suffered a fracture and severe laceration.

    Accident: 170864631 - Injures Head And Neck In Fall From Golf Cart

    At approximately 8:22 a.m. on June 25, 1996, Employee #1 was operating a modified golf cart used for landscaping. The brakes on the golf cart locked, throwing Employee #1 onto the pavement. He was transported to the St. Johns Hospital emergency room with neck and head injuries.

    Accident: 201270030 - Killed When Pinned Under Golf Cart

    Employee #1 was using a golf cart utility vehicle to travel from one golf course green to another when he veered off the cart path and struck a pine tree. He was catapulted over the front of the vehicle, which continued to move forward. Employee #1 became pinned underneath the cart and was killed.

    Employee #1 sustained injuries in a fall while driving a golf cart into a freight elevator.

    Accident: 170847057 - Killed When Head Crushed By Golf Cart

    At approximately 1:50 p.m. on November 13, 1995, Employee #1 was in the southwest corner of the manufacturing building where the company makes trash bins and truck bodies. The area is in close proximity to an overhead door where a catering truck normally parks for employees during their break periods. Employee #1 had gone to the truck to purchase food for his break. His brother had driven a golf cart to the area and had also gone to the truck to purchase food. Employee #1 went back inside the building and sat on the floor in front of the golf cart. Employee #1's brother came back into the building and sat on the passenger side of the golf cart. Employee #1 asked his brother for some grapes. As his brother reached over the front of the cart to hand him the grapes, his foot came into contact with the foot control of the cart. The cart lurched forward, pinning Employee #1's head between the cart and the concrete wall. Employee #1 was killed.

    Accident: 171004757 - Leg Fractured When Struck By Golf Cart

    Employee #1 was pushing an E-Z-Go electric golf cart from the rear. A fellow employee, who was riding in the cart, released the brake, causing the cart to back up suddenly. The cart struck Employee #1 on his leg and fractured the lower part. The key to the cart (Textron model 440 X 444) was on and the shift lever was in reverse at the time of the accident. The general nature of the workplace was excellent. Both employees were moving the cart and were employees of the employer at the site.
